BIRTHDAY GIRLS
The Around Cootamundra page is having a ‘busy time’ writing of all the happy events accompanying birthdays of local residents.
Amy Fisher and Rebecca Vesperman are here pictured enjoying the night at their 18th birthday party. Both girls celebrated their birthdays on June 11 and are currently in year 12 at the Cootamundra High School.
GOOD LUCK in your upcoming HSC.
HELPING SUE
It was lovely to catch up with Mrs Corrie Drady, of Grenfell, mother of Sue Callaghan of The Coralee. Sue’s dad Alan passed away in April and since then Corrie has spent time here in Cootamundra and certainly Sue is pleased to have her darling mum with her at the moment to assist in a busy time at The Coralee.
EUROPEAN TOUR
Welcome home to Garry and Lois James who recently returned from a sensational European trip. During their 27 day tour they ‘explored’ many countries and enjoyed the warm weather which followed them around Europe. WELCOME HOME.
EMMA’S 21st
Photographed in Wednesday’s Coota Herald was lovely girl Emma Hale celebrating her coming of age. Emma turned 21 on June 17 and a party was held at the Showground to mark this happy event. Oops Emma, sorry about telling all you were 18 when in fact you were 21!!
WINTER LUNCHEON
Members of the Cootamundra District Garden Club enjoyed their Annual Winter Luncheon which was held in Dickson Hall. Members do look forward to the annual occasion and this year was no exception. Not only are members good with flowers, their culinary skills are also FIRST CLASS!!
The lunch was followed by an interesting and educational presentation by the Muttama Creek Regeneration Group representatives Pat Caskie and Graham Pinney. The Garden Club has been supportive of this project for some time now, and it was pleasing to hear of the progress which has been made by this very keen group of people. We look forward to seeing future developments along the Muttama Creek.
BIRTHDAY DINNER
Seen out at the 21st birthday dinner for our own Ashleigh Warton, are Heather Kingwill and Di Fergus. It has been a busy time for Di, what with out celebrating friends birthdays, she and her husband Rod last weekend hosted a 21st party for their son Ty, prior to his returning to his career choice in the Army.
THE TWO PATRICKS
Well, how cute is this photo of the two Patricks! Pat Kerin and baby Patrick Golden were photographed during the ‘highly successful’ Aussie Rules celebrations last weekend. Patrick Golden is the son of Craig and Joanne Golden and he was attending the footy match held last Saturday where he watched his dad ‘return to the field’ playing in the ‘oldies team’.
AND, ACCOLADES to Pat Kerin for his input into the success of the Coota Blues - Five decades of memories!
