PREMIER PERFORMANCE
The stage was alive with the sounds of music and the vision of a fairyland. Chris Edwards’ rehearsal concert on Wednesday night was held in the not-quite-completed theatre at the Cootamundra Arts Centre. Many people decided to take advantage of this occasion and the new theatre was nearly full - a great compliment to the wonderful Miss Chris and her team of tireless workers as this was a rehearsal only. A most enjoyable and heart warming night.
GUEST SPEAKER
The View Club was delighted to have as guest speaker at their monthly luncheon Stephanie Cooke from Native Botanicals Flower Shop. Steph, a fully qualified florist, was able to show all present floristry ‘at its best’ by putting together superb arrangements and showing how she begins bridal bouquets.
Steph loves nothing more than capturing the
timeless beauty of flowers and she certainly imparted her love of flowers to all present.
THANK YOU STEPHANIE.

DEBBIE’S PASSING
Many Cootamundra residents were saddened to hear of the passing of Debbie (Johnston) Goodwin. Debbie was born and raised here in Cootamundra, the daughter of Athol and Joyce Johnston, who now reside in Port Macquarie.
Debbie resided in Rockhampton, together with her partner Tom, and she passed away there on October 29, aged 51 years.
Also left to mourn her passing are her sisters Karen and Gail and brother Wayne Johnston. Her children Stacey and Ryan also survive.
SYMPATHY is extended to her family at this time.
BRODIE’S SUCCESS
The recently held Albury Show was a ‘most successful’ outing for Coota girl Brodie Chester. Brodie was the recipient of two awards on the day.
She won Reserve Champion for her steer ‘Gus’ AND picked up first place in the Junior Cattle Judging (there were 37 youngsters asked by senior judges to give their award in the Cattle Judging). Brodie’s assessment in this area gained for her first place! WELL DONE BRODIE.
AND, to all those heading for Gundagai TODAY to attend the Snake Gully Cup race meeting, have a TOP time. Always an outstanding day out, many locals will either make their own way over or join the bus which will leave from the Ex-Services Club at 9.45am.
To those going - have a great day out.
