JOE’S VISIT
Back in town late last week was former Cootamundra resident Joe Cootes. Joe and Ruth (remember when Ruth worked at La Faye Hair Salon?) now reside on the South Coast, but Joe and a number of his friends made Coota their ‘base’ as they spent a few days in the district, and they certainly enjoyed their day out at the Gundagai Snake Gully Cup Races.
A SPECIAL TIME
What a pleasurable time the Green family had last weekend when they travelled back to Coota for a ‘get together’. Walter and Robert Green and families were joined by their brother Norman Green, from Gosford, and sister Edith Richardson, from Dapto.
They dined in the restaurant at the Ex-Services Club and spent the evening reminiscing of their ‘early days’ in Coota, with Walter and Rob telling stories of Green Brothers Builders! Norman even remembering his teachers from days at the Public School!
Edith was accompanied by her daughter Janice and was pleased to stop by their old Murray Street family home and see how it has been beautifully presented and maintained.
In all it was a WONDERFUL weekend.
A PROUD DAY
Former Sacred Heart school students, Beth Smith (middle right) and Jemma Witenden, (middle left) graduated from St Scholastica’s College, Glebe Point, on Friday last November 13. Jemma will spend 2010 in England on a GAP year and Beth plans to go to the States working for Camp America next winter.
