A TOP NIGHT
Just the BEST night was had by all in attendance at the 21st birthday party of Sarah Piffero. There were close on 100 guests at the Muttama Hall to enjoy an evening of fun, food and dance. The theme for the evening was ‘Army - get your camouflage out’! After viewing the photos, what fun and frivolity the theme added to the night and Iwould not want to have been judging the best dressed!
A PARTY WEEKEND
Well, last weekend here in Cootamundra there certainly were a ‘host’ of parties.
A ‘surprise’ party was held on Saturday night for Penny Howse and many friends were in attendance to make Penny’s birthday ‘complete’.
Just the nicest lady Alma Smart was guest of honour at a party on Saturday to mark a milestone birthday for her and I’m sure with Alma’s ‘beautiful’ family and friends in attendance, the evening would have been TOPS!!
I believe Sarah Piffero had an evening ‘up there with the best’ when she celebrated her 21st birthday at the Muttama Hall - the music and dancing went into the wee small hours!!
Genial gentleman Blen Leahy was treated to a marvellous evening on Saturday night when he was guest of honour at a party to mark his 80th birthday.
Hosted by his charming wife Jenny and their children, the evening was held at their Minkara Avenue home.
AND, warmest wishes to a great couple Tom and Margaret Elphick on the occasion of their 55th Wedding Anniversary. A party was held on Saturday, hosted by Kathleen and Lyle Twyford at their home, and many were in attendance to enjoy a ‘great day out’ with Tom and Margaret.
AND, on Sunday evening Bob King celebrated his 70th birthday. Family and friends gathered for dinner at the Ex-Services Club to wish Bob a HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
AND, I was delighted to be in attendance on Sunday at the 100th birthday party for Miss Nell Finlay. It took the form of an afternoon tea party, the food was simply yummy, there were family members in attendance as well and many of her friends there to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY NELL.
VISITORS TO TOWN
The afternoon tea party for Mrs Ethel Meale’s 100th birthday brought many of the guests ‘back to town’. Don and Celia Forsyth travelled from their Nelson Bay home. Don’s late mum Mrs Nan Forsyth was a long time friend of Mrs Meale.
Kevin Haskew travelled from his home at Tea Gardens to celebrate with Ethel.
Many would remember the time when the Haskew family resided in Thompson Street and Kevin’s dad was ‘legendary’ as the local police sergeant.
It was great to catch up with them.
SENIORS SWIM
So pleased to hear that the Sunday
morning Senior Swim Squad is going so well. The numbers are swelling, the
enthusiasm of all is TOPS and there is even a ‘rumour afloat’ that next summer they will travel to Sydney for a weekend of
‘competition’ with a group at Bronte pool.
Keep up the good work.
