JOB SHARING

Job sharing has been working well for Belinda Kelly and Alysha Phillips, two new ladies on the staff at Di’s Coffee Shop.

Belinda and Alysha each work three days a week, with another new staff member Kathryn Goodwin filling in every second Saturday.

Full-time workers Claire Berkrey and proprietor Shona Neale report that things are running very smoothly.

TOP CHEF

I’m sure many people will agree with me that eating out is one of life’s many pleasures.

I never use the expression ’to die for’ when describing food, but this term really is appropriate when describing the baked goods created by Garry Neale.

Husband of Shona from Di’s Coffee Shop, Garry works at the Woolworths bakery, and every now and again bakes something special for Shona to serve at the shop.

Keep up the fantastic baking, Garry!

BIRTHDAYS

Belated birthday wishes to Cootamundra Nursing Home resident Janet Ash, who celebrated a birthday yesterday (February 18).

And today, a cake and candles will be the order of the day for Clarice Haynes, who also will celebrate her birthday.

JINDALEE READERS

Lynne Thorburn from the Cootamundra Town Library has used her initiative to start a book club for mature-age women in our area. The formative meeting was held last Monday, with the group, who call themselves the “Jindalee Readers”, planning to meet on a monthly basis to discuss the current novel, of which all the ladies will have a copy. What a great idea for a social gathering and an interesting discussion. Any queries relating to this may be directed to Lynn at the Cootamundra Library.

COOTAMUNDRA - NEW COUNTRY LIVING

Besides being able to be viewed on-line, there are ample copies of the “Cootamundra - New Country Living” supplement available free at the Herald office.

And for those of you who were wondering ... the lovely covergirl is Kelli McClintock, daughter of Michael and Karen McClintock of Cootamundra.

NEW GIRL

New on the staff at Phil Davies pharmacy is the lovely Jessica Tulenew (pictured).

Jessica completed her first week of work last week, saying she enjoyed looking after customers and finds the staff are great to work with.

Jessica is the daughter of David and Maryanne Tulenew of Adams Street.

TRAVELLER

Working at the Globe Hotel whilst on a working holiday visa is Becky Dean (pictured), whose first day behind the bar was on Wednesday.

Becky is from Plymouth in England, and is enjoying very much the country

hospitality and different weather conditions here in Australia.
