WEDDING BELLS
Looking forward to their wedding to be held on April 10 are Matt Moon, the son of Phil and Julie Moon of Cootamundra, and Tracey Gough, the daughter of John and Dianne Gough of Temora.
The wedding ceremony is to take place in the beautiful gardens of Geoff and Rhonda Twomey at ‘Waratah’, Cootamundra, with the reception to be held in a marquee in Phil and Julie Moon’s garden.
Matt’s best man will be his brother-in-law Adam Randall, with Adam’s son Jack to act as pageboy.
Attending Tracey as her maid of honour will be Tracey’s sister Rebecca, with Tracey’s niece and god-daughter Mackenzie as the flower girl.
Mr and Mrs Moon will then be heading off for a honeymoon in Vanuatu, before returning to their home in Cootamundra.
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY
Belated birthday wishes to Matilda Cowan, who turned 18 on March 9.
Matilda completed her Year 12 studies at the Cootamundra High School last year, and is now enjoying very much working full time as a receptionist at the Travel Lodge in Sydney, with plans to attend university next year.
Matilda is the daughter of Darren and Lauren Cowan of Buladelah, and Marianne McInerney and Tony O’Dwyer of Cootamundra.
Also wishing their sister a very happy birthday are Matilda’s brothers Jack, Ethan and Cooper.
CADAS PLAYS
I am looking forward to attending the two CADAS plays ‘For All To See’ and ‘Hank O’Hare’, particularly after hearing Jenny Beath’s comments after she attended a sneak preview of ‘For All To See’ last week.
Jenny was particularly impressed with the outstanding acting skills of Eleanor Bondaruk, and ‘surprise package’ Julie Smith.
Sounds to me like the very talented Martin Boyle can be very proud of his first ever written production.
Jenny also commented on the fantastic transformation at the Coota Arts Centre, with an amphitheatre-like effect of the tiered seating, which allowed excellent views of the entire show, and plenty of leg room.
Tickets are now on sale for the production, with the last performance being staged on March 27.
RETIREMENT VILLAGE FETE
My apologies for inadvertently mentioning the Nursing Home in reference to the Retirement Village fete - no excuses! Both offer fantastic facilities for the older people in our community.
VISITORS
Tony and Tania Ziino from Altona in Victoria received admiring glances as they drove their 1959 Cadillac Coupe Deville down Parker Street on Wednesday.
The couple were passing through Cootamundra on their way to Bathurst where this weekend the National Cadillac car rally will be held, with Caddie lovers from all over Australia expected to attend.
