OLDE SCHOOL TEA HOUSE
Business in Bethungra has begun to boom with the opening of the Olde School Tea House.
The Tea House sits in the
former Bethungra School and is the result of two years of work by Garry and Gaylene Crabtree who bought the old school house with the aim of renovating it and turning it into a tourist attraction.
ON the opening day Sunday, February 5, visitors came from all parts of the country, including Melbourne, Canberra, Wagga, Junee and locals.
Gaylene’s son Jesse has already become an expert barista having used the coffee machine to make hundred of coffees over the opening weekend. I believe their coffee brand and teas are first class!
The opening days are Sunday to Wednesday 8am to 5pm. Well worth a drive out to enjoy a coffee and yummy goodies.
They also have artwork and gifts for sale, while a number of Coolamon and Junee locals have donated jams, chutneys and relishes to be sold.
FIRST BIRTHDAY
Yolanda Scholtz is marking her first birthday at the helm of The Khaya hosting an exhibition of photographer Peter Sykes. Peter’s exhibition opened last week at and is certainly well worth seeing.
He is planning to have his vast and varied Photographic Exhibition there on display and for sale for the coming month.
Do pop in, have a coffee and cake and ENJOY!
Here pictured is one of Peter’s photos taken whilst on a trip to Mongolia.
