PAZZAZ WITH FLAIR

Here pictured at the highly successful evening Pazzaz With Flair, held last Friday night in the Auditorium of the Ex-Services Club, is Jess Tulenew, the daughter of David and Maryanne Tulenew. No doubt mum and dad would have been very proud of their daughter here ‘strutting the catwalk’ modelling items which were on parade from Moore Clothing and Simply Shooz and Fashion. Some of the amazing hair dos on the models were the talented ‘handiwork’ of Amy and Emma Axientieff from Pazzaz Hair Studio.

Amy and Emma, who organised the evening, are to be congratulated on the success of the evening which gathered over 250 patrons and raised much needed funds for CAN ASSIST.

MENTAL AS ANYTHING

You would have to be Mental as Anything to miss the opportunity to see this great Australian band at the S & C Club tomorrow night.

With tickets only $20.00 the show starts at 8p.m in the auditorium and is sure to be a fantastic night for those that remember the band and their many hits to newcomers who will just enjoy a world class band right here in Cootamundra. The band will be supported by a local group and what a great opportunity for them to learn from the best in the business.

TUROSS HOLIDAY

Welcome home to Lisa and Greg Collingridge who have returned together with their family from a ‘well earned’ camping holiday on the South Coast.

They made Tuross Heads their base, just enjoying the lakes there and ocean swimming, made a trip to Bega to visit Greg’s sister and had Ian and Marg Somers, of Coota, visit for a few days.

And must also mention that Jay Somers and his sister Kylie Murray and her two sons also paid the Collingridge family a visit there at ‘breathtaking’ Tuross Heads. WELCOME HOME.

MONTHLY MARKETS

The Monthly Markets (an innovation of the Cootamundra Retirement Village Auxiliary) now take place on the second Sunday of each month at Fisher Park.

So get set for a morning out this Sunday, March 10, after 9am, where there will be many stalls plus a barbecue, tea and coffee and cold drinks available.

The auxiliary were thrilled with their initial Sunday morning markets held in February and are sure that this Sunday will be bigger and better than the last one. SEE YOU THERE.

A REMINDER

At 2pm TODAY in the Christ Church Anglican Church the World Day of Prayer is to take place. All are most welcome to come along where Carolyn Kerr will be presiding over this IMPORTANT event.

COOTAMUNDRA BREAST AND OVARIAN CANCER

Open arms- Cootamundra Breast and Ovarian Cancer support group, will be holding their first meeting next Monday March 10, 7p.m in the Stephen Ward Room, Cootamundra Library. Meetings will then be held every second Monday of the month. This is a wonderful concept and should be a very worthwhile support to anyone affected.

MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL

What a splendid day 38 Cootamundra ladies had last Saturday when they travelled by bus to Canberra to see the highly acclaimed play “Menopause the Musical”.

The play is running at the Canberra Playhouse Theatre and everyone who went had a fantastic time. The trip was organised by the Senior Citizens Group and everyone is welcome to book trips with them. I will keep everyone posted on upcoming bus trips this year.

A big BOSTON Birthday

A big happy birthday to Bob ‘Boston’ Glanville who today (Friday) is celebrating the BIG 70.

A very busy three days of family events has been organised by his lovely wife Yvonne, with Bob’s brothers and sisters joining him to ring in his milestone day.

The well known golfer and man about town wanted all his friends to know that while he may be getting on in years, there’s no way ‘the Boston’s over’ just yet!!
