SWIMMING FOR A CAUSE

05 Feb, 2010 07:27 AM
READY TO GO: the Cootamundra Swimming Club has thrown its support behind the Oncology Appeal by organising a swimathon to be held at the local pool next Friday. The club has asked all of its members to collect sponsorship for the event, which will be held between 4pm and 10pm, with donations able to be made either per lap or as a lump sum. As well as enticing the town’s younger swimmers into the water for this very worthy cause, the Swimming Club has also challenged members of the Sunday morning senior swim group to join in what will essentially be a fun afternoon and evening. Any members of the public who would like to be involved are also more than welcome with donation forms available from club coach Pud Williams or at the kisok at the pool.
