At the conclusion of last year, Little Wattle early childhood teacher Heather Gammon approached the Arts Centre to see if it was possible to set up some art classes once a term for their pre school children.
Art teacher Katrina Winters loved the idea and has also approached other schools and centres.
With the support of the children attending the centre, the Arts Centre will be able to apply for grants to purchase more printmaking equipment.
Next term the children will move on to printmaking.
Katrina has been making pots with the children from clay, as they have been learning about sustainability and the natural environment.
After the pots were fired, she helped the children to paint them and plant seeds.
Mrs Gammon said this year the pre school is aiming to get more involved with the community.
In addition to their involvement with the Arts Centre they are also planning visits to the Cootamundra Nursing Home and the Men’s Shed.
