What a happy happy time in the Phil Quarmby family with three celebrations having taken place recently – Lynn Quarmby celebrated her 60th birthday on April 3 and to mark this milestone birthday the family earlier this year spent a splendid holiday in Fiji.
Then last month their daughter Anna and husband Adam Brayshaw, of Melbourne, were thrilled with the arrival of their daughter Tottie, a sister for Paddy.
AND how exciting to hear the news of the engagement of Megan Quarmby to Tathra gentleman Michael Hergenhen.
Megan lives in that ‘picture perfect’ spot Pambula Beach and is a school teacher at Lumin Christie Catholic College, Pambula, and what a top member of the Merimbula/Pambula community Megan is. We holiday a few times a year in beautiful Merimbula and I always read of Megan in the local paper, contributing to the school community as well as all the work she does as Captain of the Pambula Surf Club.
CONGRATULATIONS Michael & Megan.
KIDS MOVIE
What a happy way for kids to finish the school holidays – Movie time at the Tin Shed Theatre tomorrow afternoon at 2pm. Disney’s top children’s movie “Brave”.
Tickets available at Café Pizza & Pasta, Wallendoon Street or at the door. Do come along and ENJOY!
WEEKEND WEDDING
The wedding of former Cootamundra girl Jacinta Frilay and Forbes gentleman Nicholas Bown was held last Saturday in the Cootamundra Uniting Church with the reception following at The White Ibis.
Jacinta is the daughter of Paul and Vicki Frilay, of Lawrence Street.
The happy couple will make their home in Forster.
CONGRATULATIONS Jacinta & Nicholas.
MACHINERY RALLY
All roads lead to the Cootamundra Showground this weekend with the Cootamundra and District Restoration Society Monster Rally and Vintage Tractor Pull taking place.
During the weekend crowds can meander through the displays and see demonstrations of the old machinery in action.
There is onsite catering available and much to see.
SEE YOU THERE.
A TOP PARTY
It was a top time had by all in attendance at the 21st birthday party for Jessica Tulenew, from Amcal Pharmacy.
The celebration was held on Friday night April 12 in the Luncheon Pavilion at the Show Ground hosted by Jess’s parents David and Maryanne Tulenew where many family members and friends delighted in an evening of fun and frivolity.
DANCE SCHOOL
And yet another lovely photo of the girls at the Autumn Dance School conducted last week by the Chris Edwards School of Dance.
The senior girls were working under former student of Miss Chris Sarah Elliott who now dances and works in Sydney with Hilary Caplin from “Alegria.”
NEW VENTURE
I was pleased to be in touch with former Cootamundra man Grant Schultz the son of Alby and Gloria Schultz and hear of his move from Canberra to the lovely South Coast spot of Milton.
Grant and his charming wife Rebecca had lived for many years in Canberra and have now purchased The Coast Real Estate Agency in Milton.
Grant said what a career change as he had been in the ACT Police Force for many years but he and Rebecca are enjoying their new challenge.
I commented some Coota and district residents have holiday homes in nearby Mollymook and he said they have a number of homes in and around Mollymook on their books, so would LOVE to hear from any locals interested in making a real estate purchase there.
Good luck Grant and Rebecca.
