All happening
on Cup day
THERE are gatherings galore across town tomorrow for Melbourne Cup day as Cootamundra gets into the spirit.
Some of those we’ve heard of include a luncheon at the Country Club as well as the St Vincent de Paul event at the Country Club, fun at the Ex Services Club, action at the Central Hotel, plenty of fun out at the Stockinbingal Bowling Club and even the Southern Cross Care Retirement Village residents are dressing up and enjoying lunch for the
occasion.
Wherever you are have lots of fun and fingers crossed you back a winner!
Great night for great cause
WHAT a fabulous night was had by all at the Rodney Vincent concert held at the Ex Services Club the Friday before last.
The performer, from Albury, thrilled the 70 strong audience providing plenty of entertainment.
The evening was in aid of the Cootamundra Can Assist branch, which helps locals with the expenses associated with cancer treatment and recovery.
Can Assist treasurer Neil Murray reports a small profit was made from the evening for Can Assist, however plenty of fun was had.
