Behind the barbecue: IT wouldn’t be a school fete without a barbecue and no-one went hungry with this dedicated lot holding the tongs at the recent EA Southee Public School fete.
Pictured (from left) are Marie Wing, Daryl Sedgwick, Kevin O’Dwyer and Larry Wing.
The fete was loads of fun for attendees and a good fundraiser for the P and C.
The P and C of EA Southee School will again be in action behind the barbecue at this Saturday’s Cootamundra Picnic Races.
Catching up at the fete:
TAKING in the atmosphere at the EA Southee Public School fete the Friday before last were (from left) Ken Ward, Joyce Steiger, Tresna Ward and Carol Southwell.
A good number of parents and grandparents were on hand with students of the school to enjoy the varied activities and things to see.
Waiting his turn:
THE delightful Ethan Tasker waits patiently for his turn at the recent EA Southee Public School fete.
Ethan, five years old, is in the kindergarten class of Mrs Frilay this year.
Providing
entertainment:
IN front of around 80 people at the recent Seniors Week barbecue in Jubilee Park, the Wattle Country Music Club’s Narelle Sellick (left) and Katie Gould shone with their live entertainment.
Showing their support: CHEERING on the Strikers in their game at O’Connor Park the Saturday before last were (from left) Gary Sheather, John Paterson and Anthony Wood.
The weekend marked the official opening of what will be the home of soccer in Cootamundra.
O’Connor Park is located in Betts Street and by all accounts the playing surface and facilities at the ground are looking top-notch. All involved in the development of the park should be proud of themselves.
Birthday celebrations: COOTAMUNDRA’S Wellett Potter recently celebrated a milestone birthday at a luncheon hosted by her mother Narelle Potter at Country Cuisine.
Her birthday fell on Sunday, March 16 and the celebration was held on this same day.
A delicious dinner and an enjoyable time were experienced by all.

Happy birthday Wellett.
