HOW exciting for Cootamundra’s Ellie-Mai Levi to swim with the dolphins on a recent trip with her mum and dad to Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Ellie-Mai, the daughter of Clair Arthur and David Levi, enjoyed this experience at Sea World.
She absolutely loved it, this being the first time the four-year-old has visited Sea World.
What a fabulous memory to have and doesn’t she look like she’s having fun.
HONOURING: Family and friends participated the recent Young Relay for Life even in memory of much loved local lady Kerrie Rickett. Kerrie passed away August last year following a nine year battle with breast cancer. Team Kerrie will have raised $2000 once all monies are banked. Just having the best time at the races were former Cootamundra residents Alison Berner, Don Forsyth and Judy Barnes here pictured. Alison and Judy are the daughters of the late Hugh Ekin and Helen Ekin, and Don the son of the late Syd and Nan Forsyth.
Alison and husband Barry, of Northbridge, Judy and husband Rex of Pelican Waters, Qld. Just LOVE returning to their ‘grass roots’ and catching up with family and friends here, AND Don and his lovely wife Celia, from Nelson Bay, stayed with Tony and Helen Ward (as did Geoff and Carol (Jamieson) Eggleton, from Wollstonecraft) all vowing to return ‘same time next year’! We did have fun!
Now I thought local girls Nadia Smith and Trish Hines pictured here with Samantha Browridge and Corinna Campbell, were dressed to impress at the races.
This stylish couple Shae and Adam Meusburger, of Shellharbour, were the winners of Best Dressed Couple at the Picnic Races, and their prize, a generous donation from Len and Liz of The White Ibis, dinner for two there.

Gwen Livingstone celebrated her 70th Birthday at Stratton’s Restaurant at the Cootamundra Country Club on Saturday 22nd March with family and friends.
Gwen delighted in having her grandchildren Samuel Livingstone, Shayla Anderson, Parker Owen, Bronte Anderson, Keely Owen, Brody Anderson and Colby Owen present.

I called yesterday to visit marvellous couple Tom and Jill Dodwell, just ‘run off their feet’ hosting their once a year effort for Cootamundra’s Can Assist All Day Cuppa. There were many ladies present, the tables were ‘groaning’ with yummy goodies and committee ladies from Can Assist were very busy girls!

February 22 was the day that the Wheatley and Hall families (plus an entourage of 20 plus) flew out of Sydney bound for South Africa for the wedding of Scott Wheatley and Kate Comrie.
Scott is the youngest son of Kevin and Chris Wheatley and Kate is the daughter of Rob and Sue Comrie from Dargel, KwaZulu, Natal, South Africa.
Scott and Kate were wed on March 1 on Kate’s parents farm in the beautiful, lush Midlands area located near the Drakensberg Mountain range in KwaZulu, Natal.
The gardens of Sue and Rob’s farm at the base of a mountain, made for a spectacular backdrop on the picture perfect day.
The wedding party consisted of Scott’s elder brother Paul Wheatley, brother in law Jamin Hall, friends Nick Peacy, Luke Chaplin with Oliver Hall as pageboy.
Kate was ably assisted by her sisters Louise Van Der Vyver, Pauline Comrie and friends Chivornne Keith, Amy Robinson and Scott’s nieces Willow Hall and Eliza Wheatley were flower girls.
Scott and Kate have made their home in Bendigo, Victoria, where Scott works on a farm and Kate as an engineer in Bendigo.
I was pleased to catch up with Gundagai visitor Annmaree Smith
with her sister Margaret Moon.
Annmaree bought over a number of Gundagai ladies who all enjoyed the All Day Cuppa taking place at the home of Tom and Jill Dodwell on Tuesday last.

ALL FOR A CAUSE: pictured (right) is Cootamundra High School student Jarrod Chapman with Alyssa Forsyth (left) and Emily Fitzgerald from Hair Design at the school hall on Friday. Jarrod was one of a number of students who got waxed and shaved as part of the World’s Greatest Shave. The school also held a mufti day in which students were required to give a gold coin donation to the cause.
At the time of writing, the school had raised more than $500.
