Former Cootamundra girl Amanda (Lawler) Norman, of Wagga, a Multiple Sclerosis sufferer, has launched in Wagga the Future Hope Foundation aimed at raising funds for MS sufferers (and also to assist Amanda on her upcoming trip to Russia for her ‘FINALLY’ to be CURED of MS!!)
Recently held in the Wagga Marketplace was a ‘hair shave’ which raised $6,500 for the cause (Amanda is pictured after her shave with her daughter Tegan.)
Amanda is now planning on organising a shave here in Coota in August, set to take place on Thursday 28 August a 6.00pm, to coinside with her 46th birthday.
She is now calling on local sports people, business people, police, fire fighters, local charity groups etc to get involved.
Amanda is now looking for a central venue here in town for the shave to take place and also for a few local hairdressers who might be willing to donate their time.
If you can help out by promoting this worthy event, or if you know anyone who might be interested in joining the shave, could you please let me know here at the Herald OR be in touch with Amanda on 0421 777 189.
MILESTONE BRITHDAY
Again we have another TOP Cootamundra resident celebrating his milestone birthday -
On Friday last Neil Murray celebrated his 80th birthday. Saturday night saw his family and friends gather at the Cootamundra Country Club to mark his birthday with a happy, happy evening of much emotion, fun and laughter.
Neil and his wife Marie have eight children who were all in attendance, their 26 grandchildren and two darling great grandchildren who made for a perfect evening.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEIL.
