ON Saturday, August 2, the Arts Centre will present a pop-up theatre restaurant featuring the show ‘The Sound of Musik’.
The production is put on by the 2Pauls, a Sydney-based comedy cabaret duo, who have been performing for more than five years around inner Sydney.
Encouraged by friends in Cootamundra, the duo decided to bring their popular ‘Sound of Musik’ show
Take one of the most familiar movies of all time and forget most of what you remember. Watch one man play 14 characters that you thought you knew.
Featuring the classic songs from the musical, the audience can’t help but sing along.
It’s a mix-up of familiarity and comedy, all done with the utmost respect for this great classic movie.
For $50, patrons will receive a three course meal and the show. Bookings are essential and places are limited.
Bookings for tables of 10 are preferred, although two tables have been reserved for those wishing to book for smaller numbers.
Phone the Arts Centre on 6942 4773.
Miss Wattle nominations
WE have had a few very worthy nominations for Miss Wattle this year and are encouraging more.
There are some great community-minded young women on our town and we want to hear about them.
If you know someone who contributes to the community and would love to represent our town during Wattle Time please pop down a few words about the person and what they are involved in, and email to jennette.lees@fairfaxmedia.com.au.
Nominations close Friday, July 25.
Wattle Time shapes up to be a busy time in Cootamundra with the Art Show by Can Assist kicking things off, the annual Cootamundra Classic bike race by the Coota Cycle Club, the Wattle Time Debutante Ball and the Cootamundra Development Corporation’s street parade and fair will round out the month on Saturday, August 30.
Library Storytime
STORYTIME is a great initiative of the Cootamundra Library. If you have young kids below school age consider taking them along for a story and a morning of craft and singing.
It’s as much fun for the mums as the kids!
Starting from 11am in the Stephen Ward Rooms, all are welcome. This week’s theme is ‘Aussie Animals’.
