Conducted by Kerrie Byrne, the latest seminar was the second in a series of four which are taking place weekly at the library.
While the first session focused the make up of the device and the terminology associated with its use, Wednesday gave an overview of the communication functions of the iPad including emails and different forms of messaging.
Mrs Byrne said it is important for people who have limited technological experience to understand the full extent of the iPad’s capabilities.
“Right now there are a lot of people who are relying on their children to help them use their iPad,” she said.
“So far, people are picking it up really well so hopefully that will continue.”
The upcoming classes on August 26 and September 2 will focus on the internet and also the many applications that can be downloaded.
