It was always going to be a close game with the Bullettes sitting just above the Tigers in fifth position on the ladder and the game didn’t disappoint with both sides leaving nothing on the park.
Bullettes co coach Kristen Glanville said it is easy to see why the two teams are in a similar standing at this point in the season.
“We were neck and neck all the way through and I think they are like us in the way that they are a defensively sound team,” she said.
“On the other hand, our attack probably isn’t where it should be right now which was reflected in the final result. That being said, Amy Dobson played a really strong match as did Lily Hogan and Emily Levett.”
The result sees Gundagai leap frog Cootamundra into fifth position on the ladder with two thirds of the season now completed.
This week will see the Bulldogs take on the South City Bulls at Harris Park with Glanville hopeful her side can improve their attack and return to the winners’ circle.
“Our lead up work has been fine but when we are under pressure, we are unable to finish off our attacking plays which is something we need to work on.”
