The winner by a landslide with 53 forms was Todd Slaven who entered the competition on behalf of the Meale family with a photo of Riley and big sister Ainslie Meale taken at a property in Wallendbeen at sunset.
The Cootamundra Herald received 23 photo entries overall in the competition which is a terrific response organiser of the competition and senior journalist at the Herald Jennette Lees could not have been happier with.
“We really wanted to do something different for our readers when we launched this competition and create an opportunity to engage with readers,” Jennette said.
“It was our way of giving something back and passing on the opportunity for mums, dads, grandparents and friends to see their gorgeous kids in typical surrounds from this area,” Jennette added.
A special thank you must go to Carmen Hickey of Forever Rose Photography for her generous donation of a portrait prize package for the Country Kids winner.
The prize, worth $480, includes group and individual portraiture for a family of five plus four 8x10” printed photographs and a USB with full copyright to high resolution photographs.
“Thank you so much to Carmen for her support of this competition, we were so happy to have her on board. Her photos are beautiful and we know she will create a wonderful, lasting memories for the Meale family so thank you,” Jennette said.
