FOLLOWING a successful series of ballroom dancing classes for the University of the Third Age last term, Cootamundra’s Nigel and Val Hughes have decided to continue the activity here in town.
Initially the class was set down for six weeks before it was extended to eight weeks. Participants enjoyed it so much it has become a permanent fixture on the Cootamundra social calendar.
Each Tuesday from 2pm until 4pm in Dickson Hall all are invited down to enjoy the ballroom and new vogue dance lessons.
It is open to absolutely anyone although most of the group at present are seniors.
New people including singles are always welcome to come and enjoy the fun.
“It is a great social outlet, we laugh a lot and have a great time,” Nigel said.
For further information please contact Nigel on 0417 416 720.

Surprise 80th for Ruth
RUTH Tyrrell had a wonderful surprise recently, when her nieces, Judy Johnson, Yvonne Glanville and Janice Cassidy travelled to Port Macquarie to help her celebrate her 80th birthday.
Jenny Beath played the part of tour director and the quartet were joined in surprising Ruth by Janice’s daughter Tina, who travelled from Coffs Harbour to celebrate Ruth’s milestone.
