Now what a lovely time of year to be celebrating one’s birthday -
We say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to these spelndid locals who this week celebrate their birthdays - Kylie Annetts, from The Fireplace, Wayne Johnston from Turner’s Furniture One, Mrs Peg Butt, from the Cootamundra Nursing Home and ‘super duper girl’ Sara McPherson.
LOUTH PICNIC RACES
The Annual ‘iconic’ Louth Picnic Races took place last weekend with a number of Cootamundra and district residents heading out west for a weekend of ‘fun and frivolity’ - we look forward to hearing from those who were lucky enough to be in attendance.
MICHAEL’S PASSING
Many Cootamundra and district residents will be saddned to hear of the of the passing of one of Milvale and district greats Mr Michael Davidson OBE, of “Little Yarran’ Young.
Michael passed away suddenly on August 7 at the Southern Highlands Private Hospital, Bowral, aged 86.
Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife Pammie and children Victoria, Susan, David and Edwina and their families.
A memorial for Michael took place yesterday at ‘Yarran’ Young.
SYMPATHY is extended to his family at this sad time - And what a contribution Michael made to the Agricultural industry, and for many years worked tirelessly on the Committee of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
CITY TO SURF
A number of locals have returned from competing in the Annual City to Surf which took place in Sydney last weekend and we again look forward to hearing from them and their ‘achievements’!
AMANDAS CAUSE
The Future Hope MS Raffle which has been selling outside IGA was drawn on Friday last by Jen Sheridan, Manager, Bendigo Bank Harden,
And Amanda Norman wishes to thank her mum Sally Lawler and Jan McTavish for all their hard work in selling the tickets, and would also like to thank the Cootamundra community for their generous support.
