Club treasurer Jacinta English thanked everyone who voted, saying the win would not have been possible without the support of families and friends of the soccer club, the Herald, and the wider community.
The trivia night held on Saturday August 30 was also a big success, with nine tables competing and over $2000 raised.
This gets the club much closer to their goal of raising $16,000 for new nets and goal posts, with $8000 already coming from the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation.
The new goals are a necessary investment for the club as the current steel posts are a safety hazard, and not approved for use by the junior soccer governing body.
The new aluminium posts will also be removable, making Mitchell Park more accessible for other sports and maintenance.
Finals are now approaching for the juniors, with under 9s facing Tumut in the grand final on Saturday September 13.
