MOVIE TIME
The outstanding movie showing this week in the Tin Shed Theatre at The Arts Centre is ‘Last Vagas’’ the fun story of a first-class holiday in Las Vagas featuring top movie stars Michael Douglas, Robert De Nero, Morgan Freeman, kevin Kline and so the list goes on of a group of ‘older gentlemen’ who think this trip to Vegas will be their LAST!
The times, TODAY at 10.30am, then 7pm this evening. Again on Sunday next, September 14, at 5pm.
TONIGHTS THE NIGHT
Make sure your eyes are glued to the television this evening (Win TV) at 5.30pm for the HOT SEAT game show with Eddie McGuire when former local girl Sally (Howse) Ferguson makes an appearance and ‘strikes it lucky.’
BIKE WEEK
This week marks the New South Wales Government Sponsored Bike Week and our local Bugs Group wish to say DO COME RIDE WITH THE COOTA BIKE USERS GROUP -
Wednesday and Saturdays - 8.30am meet at the Post Office.
AND I do look forward to telling the SPLENDID story for a group of Cootamundra and district (plus Young bike riders) currently tripping through the north of Spain, (I think) following the Tour de Spain!
WED IN SCOTLAND
Cootamundra couple Brian and Jenny Speering are pleased to announce the marriage of their son Martin to Angela, daughter of David and Hazel Smith, of Largs, Scotland.
Martin and Angela were married in Clark Memorial Church. Largs Scotland, on Thursday, July 3, and after the wedding ceremony, Martin and Angela surprised the guests with the christening of their son Keir.
It was a picture perfect day and a true Scottish wedding, with Marty, his groomsmen Shay Baker and Kenneth Edwards.
Also in a Kilt was pageboy Liam Brandon.
The bride Angela was attended by bridesmaids Laura, Mairi and flowergirl Mirrin, all the girls looked stunningly beautiful.
A group of 15 family and friends from Cootamundra attended the wedding including Alison, Adam and Liam Brandon, Barbara and Nicole Black and Jennie Williams.
Martin and Angela spent their honeymoon in Turkey.
Following the wedding Brian and Jenny plus their family and friends enjoyed a three week holiday touring Scotland, London and Dublin.
The guests who had travelled over together with Brian and Jenny wish to thank Angela’s family in Largs (Hazel, David and Andrew Smith) for their efforts in making the wedding and christening such a special occasion, “their warm welcome and friendship is truly appreciated.”
