Former Cootamundra couple Ron and Nerida Cullen were back in town last week to catch up with friends.

They now reside in Goulburn, but when living here Ron was a Sheep and Wool Officer and Nerida was a teacher at the Cootamundra High School and a loyal member of the local Soroptimist Club.

ENJOY THE DAY

The U3A group will today set off on a history tour through the village of Wombat and Yandilla Mustard Farm, with lunch at the Wombat Hotel.

They will travel by bus for a pleasant outing in our current spring weather.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY FUN

The school holidays begin on Friday and our local Library, the Indoor Heated Pool and the Cootamundra Stadium are gearing up with holiday activities on their agenda -

The Library has a Button Necklace Workshop taking place on Tuesday next, September 23, then again on the 30th, commencing at 1.30pm, Bookings essential.

Lego and Board Games take place on Wednesday, September 24 and Thursday, October 2, at 10am.

Dr. Egypt archaeology workshops - Fri. October 3, at 10.30 and 1pm.

Then to top off the holidays a Teen Movie afternoon  “Short Term 12” (rated M) for 14-18 year olds. Wed. October 1 at 2pm.

BOOKINGS are essential for all of the above activities. Just a phone call to the Library or call in and see the girls there.

GRADUATION EVENTS

Year 12 students at the Cootamundra High School will be afforded a formal Farewell Assembly tomorrow morning prior to the start of the school holidays.

The HSC begins on October 13, when 42 students from the High School will sit their exams.

AND also tomorrow a Year 12 Hennessy Catholic College Graduation Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Young, with a number of Cootamundra Hennessy College students in attendance.

UPCOMING PRODUCTION

The CADAS INC. Kids wish to let us all know that they are claiming the date on their next ‘wizbang’ production. It will take place on July 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2015!

AND who can forget the last CADAS Kids production “Smithy” which went off with a BANG back in July 2013.
