The windows pay tribute to the Stolen Generation, some of whom spent years at the Cootamundra Aboriginal Girls Training Home.
Each window tells a proverbial story passed down to Indigenous children over hundreds or possibly thousands of years.
According to the booklet created to explain the story of the windows, each story is separate but contributes to a grand narrative that speaks of darkness and light, night and day, nature, ghosts, fear, mourning, creation, renewal, peace, happiness and joy.
Mr Glanville’s U3A talk was moving and insightful, explaining his personal family connection to the windows.
He asks all interested community members to take a look at the Wiradjuri windows in the Town Hall from a fresh perspective next time they are visiting.
