MAY a take a moment to congratulate each of the ladies named in the 2014 Hidden Treasures Honour Roll.
I have had the privilege of working with the Cootamundra Community Soup Kitchen ladies and each truly do an amazing job. While they are humble about what they do the Soup Kitchen runs because of the effort, organisation and dedication of these ladies.
Soup Kitchen is a great organisation to be part of, if interested in volunteering please check their Facebook site.
Hannah is another deserving young woman who will go from strength to strength in life. Her work with the Cootamundra Pound is to be commended. When she puts her mind to something, she doesn’t stop and had achieved some outstanding results.
While I haven’t had the pleasure of knowing Yvonne personally, I understand her to be a positive force in our community.
Congratulations Di, Sam, Renae, Anne, Hannah and Yvonne.

All are welcome to attend at a cost of $50 includes bus fare and morning tea.
Bookings can be made at the Cootamundra Nursing Home.
The fundraiser will be a lot of fun for all involved and a great way to raise funds for the ongoing running of the community-owned Nursing Home.
A terrific celebration for Can Assist
HOW wonderful for Can Assist to celebrate 30 years the weekend before last. This amazing organisation has helped so many locals during cancer diagnosis and treatment which is often the worst time of a person’s life.
To have the volunteers from Can Assist so willing to provide financial assistance must be great peace of mind. At a time when someone is literally fighting for their life, money should not be a concern, but when cancer means they can’t work, I see how financial pressures can quickly mount. Thank you to Can Assist for being there for these people and to all those who support Can Assist to do what they do - thank you to each of you also.
The 30th birthday celebration at Dickson Hall was a fitting tribute to three great decades of the charity. May they be here for 30 more years and beyond helping people.
