The track is in good shape with great grass cover and cushion and if this week’s rain eventuates it should be in magnificent order come the long weekend.
A working bee this weekend will finalise preparations at the racecourse.
Locals are reminded about the XXXX Gold Winning Post Marquee, which was successfully instigated by the Turf Club last year.
Tickets into the marquee are $90 which includes food, beverages and entry to the races.
Tickets are limited and are selling well with president Brad Shields estimating there will be around 150 people in the marquee. The marquee is open to all community members and those wishing to purchase tickets should get in quick and purchase from the Central Hotel.
Please note tickets into this marquee will not be sold on the day.
“We want to create a great atmosphere in the centre of the track and invite people to purchase their tickets now,” Brad said.
General entry to the races will be $15 on the day.
Along with the action on the track there will be kids’ activities, Fashions on the Field, and food and bar facilities available.
Additional sponsors are always welcome and the races are a great way to show your support for the local community.
Interested businesses should also contact Brad at the Central Hotel on 6942 1346.
As for the action on the track, nominations close next Tuesday, however with a Trainers’ Bonus again on offer there should be a strong number of horses.
