I think no one deserves more praise than those special people who care for their loved ones at home.
New South Wales Carers Week takes place from Monday, October 13, and a Wellness Day is taking place here in town on Wednesday, october 15, with Massage Therapist Rachel Moon kindly donating her rooms at 59 Murray street for the day.
It will involve a day of relaxation, fun and laughter with aromatherapy by Susan Newnham, the art of massage with Rachel, Qigong (a form of tai chi) with Tumut couple Geoff and June Williams and lastly Beating your Rhythm through djemube drums with Kate Pickering.
The day is filling fast, so if you would like to be a part of this day of fun, laughter and joy as well as sharing with each other, do be in touch with Jodie Roberts on 0419288541.
AND the Cootamundra group have been advised this week that Carers NSW will fund this special day.
SCHOOL REUNION
I received this note from Kristy (Lanyon) Rumble -
Calling all Cootamundra High School students who were a part of the year group who commenced Year 7 in 1989 and who were part of that group at any stage until completion of Year 12 in 1994.
A school reunion is taking place on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Cootamundra Country Club and we would love to see as many past students as possible in attendance.
For enquiries please drop into Hello World in Parker Street or call on 02 6942 1388.
CLASS OF 1975
Cootamundra High school Year 10 1973 and year 12 1975 are holding a reunion on the weekend of 10th & 11th October 2014. Just a reminder to all local ex students to put the date in their diary.
The committee organising this TOP Reunion have had great response from “out of towners” who will be attending, and they hope to see as many locals as possible.
They will gather at the Central Hotel on Friday night (10th) and an informal dinner at the Country Club on saturday (11th), after a tour of the High School. Anyone needing more details can contact Mark Kingwill, Peter Hogan or Carol Meale.
Sounds like a FUN weekend!
