There have been a number of spring weddings taking place over the past few weeks -
One of the lovely girls who look after our every need at the Post office Janene Cross recently wed Beau Ricketts and we look forward to a ‘happy snap’ from their wedding day.
Last weekend local girl Jessica Connell, who works at the Cootamundra Nursing home, wed Stephen Collier, of Young, at the Iandra Castle, with the reception following at the Young Ex-Services Club. Their many Coota friends send warmest congratulations.
Also last weekend Tom Meehan wed Jade Campbell. The ceremony and reception was held at the White Ibis, where first-class couple there, Larry and Liz, served a most delicious three course dinner after the ceremony and made sure that the Meehan/Campbell families will long remember this happy event.
AND tomorrow the Church Bells will ring out at the Sacred Heart Church spot on 3pm when former Cootamundra girl Laura Gay weds Todd Beal, of Harden.
Laura, the daughter of Bob and Marcel Gay, now calls Canberra home, and her many friends and family members will celebrate long into the night at the wedding reception for Todd and Laura set to take place at The White Ibis.
CONGRATULATIONS Todd & Laura.
WEEKEND HAPPENINGS -

Our three day 124th Annual Show opens today - a not to be missed annual event on Cootamundra’s social calendar.
Sunday is Open Garden Day ( 10am to 4pm) with three ‘picture perfect’ spring gardens on display - ‘Beannachd’, 5 Short Street - ‘Cowcumbla’ on Back Brawlin Road, and ‘Wirlinga’ 254 Jugiong Road.
All funds from this day going to aid the residents of Cootamundra Nursing Home.
And the Invitation Scale Classic Down Under will ‘lift off’ over the weekend out at the flying field (situated out there on Gundagai Road) where up to 80 model aeroplanes will be ‘in action’ - open to all to come along.
