His latest donation of $500 from proceeds from his Collection of Fair Dink joke book brings the total he has raised for the local charity to $15,050.
Volume three of the joke book alone has raised $3220 to help local people affected by cancer.
In total, all three volumes have raised $10,680.
Meanwhile, another of Clarrie’s initiatives ‘Sport in Cootamundra’, a book dedicated entirely to local sporting greats and milestone moments, was printed in 2006 and remains popular today. Proceeds from this and another adults only joke book of Clarrie’s have helped push the total raised to more than $15,000 - a terrific milestone for a bloke who initially thought he would be able to donate $600.
The success of the third volume of Collection of Fair Dink has ensured there will be a fourth edition printed, according to Clarrie.
