A Prayer Rally is taking place in Jubilee Park this Sunday evening commencing at 5pm.
All are MOST WELCOME to come along and do bring a chair and basket supper to enjoy with all afterwards.
JUDITH’S PASSING
It is with sadness that I make mention of the passing of lovely lady Mrs Judith Larsen, formerly of Queen Street. Judith passed away on Monday last, her husband Verner having predeceased her some 12 months ago. They have two sons, one residing in Port Kembla and one in Western Australia.
Whilst residing in Cootamundra Judith was involved with Probus, the Art and Craft Centre and did so enjoy her involvement with a Mahjong group.
Her farewell will take place on Monday next at the Port Kembla Crematorium, with a Memorial Service planned here in Cootamundra at a later date when she will be interred with her beloved husband at the Cootamundra Cemetery.
WATER AEROBICS
Helen and the girls from Water Aerobics wish to advise all the ladies participating that classes for the next two weeks begin at 9am, then the following weeks classes will commence at 8am.

Tomorrow night the concert is on again in the Town Hall.
THEN this Saturday and Sunday Yandilla Mustard Oil, Wallendbeen, will be hosting Charmaine O’Brien cooking her diverse Indian cuisine and then serving a delicious meal (I think the full house sign is up on this event.)

OH WHAT A TRIP!
Wow, awesome, incredible are just some words to describe Ron and Carmel Duffey’s recent trip to China. At Shanghai they visited the French Quarter, Museum,The Bung Area and a ride on the worlds fastest train which reaches 431 kilometres per hour. The night lights were amazing from the Huanghu River. A very fast lift up the tower to the 88th floor takes your breath away.
Then to Yichang for a 4 night cruise on the Yangtze River with the 3 beautiful gorges and at Sandouping to see the worlds largest three gorges dam which is massive but already proving too small and controversial Ron and Carmel were lucky enough to go through the 3 locks in daylight.
Disembarking at Chongqing ,the largest city in the world, they then went to Fengdu and then to Chengdu to see the beautiful Pandas. From there to Xiam to see the Terracotta Warriors, what a sight. Ron rode a pushbike for 14 kilometres around the cobblestone city wall.
Carmel’s highlight was to enter Tiananmen Square to see Chairman Mao Mausoleum, the Forbidden City and the raising of the flag on China’s highest flagpole. Then to Beijing for a walk on the incredible steep Great Wall, where they spotted a drone.
A three day stopover in Hong Kong took them to Macau with its 44 casinos including The Galaxy the worlds largest and watching the worlds highest bungy jump of 233 metres from the Macau Tower.
The ruins of St Paul’s Cathedral was very touristy. The worlds longest bridge is now under construction from Hong Kong to Macau 60 kilometres.
The food was great but was quickly walked off. Not all days were smoggy and the sun shone on many days in this fascinating, exciting and complex country.
