AND guess who was also the birthday boy on Monday last? Harry Ashley celebrated his 21st birthday, and to mark this milestone he was guest of honor at a party held at the Country Club on Saturday night last.
AN IMPRESSIVE EVENING
It was an impressive, enthusiastic, outstanding evening out on Saturday night last when the group from Canberra Miz Demeanours performed at the Arts Centre.
The full house sign was up, many groups of friends joined up to celebrate the night together, many just came and had a good time - heard amongst the fans - “They are one of the most refreshing, talented, sassy and classy acts that I have seen in a long time. They are all incredibly, gifted, naturally funny, true entertainers and I can guarantee that everyone in the house last night thoroughly enjoyed the performance and went home thinking “gee, I’m glad I went to THAT show!” They have a great rapport with the audience and right from the first note they had us, hook, line and sinker “
TIME TO CELEBRATE
It was declared an outstanding success - the Sacred Heart Church Thanksgiving Mass and Luncheon Celebration held on Sunday last.
Given the 40 degree day, Fr. Joshy and the Parish Council were delighted with the many in attendance for the yummy, outstanding, top-notch Indian Lunch provided by Indian friends of Fr Joshy from Canberra and Wagga.
CHRISTMAS FAIR
The Wallendbeen Red Cross Christmas Fair is taking place on Saturday morning next in the Wallendbeen War Memorial Hall - doors open at 8.30am.
There will be many stalls, some with gift ideas for Christmas giving, and their wonderful Christmas Raffle will be drawn.
One of the long time Red Cross members Janet Thorburn will once again be on hand manning a stall full of delights.
