SYMPATHY is extended to the Holder family at this sad time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Birthday wishes to local lad Matt Raleigh as he celebrates his birthday tomorrow.
Have a grand day Matt.
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our own staff member Heath Harrison as he celebrates his birthday today.
CAR WASH
A group of youngsters from the Cootamundra High School under the banner of Cootamundra Show Team (who show their fine cattle at district shows) will be holding a Car Wash TOMORROW at the High School 9am to 1pm.
Feel free to rock up with your ‘dusty car’ assured that the students will do a first class job.
MOVIE TIME
There are two movie outings for locals to enjoy this week -
If you read this early enough, do get along to the Stephen Ward Rooms this morning at 10am to see the most interesting movie hosted by the U3A group “The Year my Voice Broke’ starring Ben Mendelsohn.
On Sunday next in the Tin Shed Theatre at The Arts Centre, the BEST movie is screening “Jersey Boys”. The time 5pm, and remember the theatre is air conditioned for the comfort of patrons.
FUN FEBRUARY
As we move into February what a FUN TIME ahead with the following events taking place -
Beach Volleyball is a BIG event taking place over the weekend of February 14th/15th bringing many to town to ENJOY this yearly event.
AND I might add that the Coota Beach Triathlon taking place Sunday morning, Feb 15 is gaining momentum - a top incentive for schools, $100 will be donated to the school with the most entries!
If you have any enquiries about the Triathlon do be in touch with Pat Drew 0429434204.
Then on February 21st/22nd the annual No Frills Old Boys Reunion takes place at the Cootamundra Country Club, again I hear of many former locals returning to enjoy ‘catch up time’.
I always delight in receiving photos from this happy reunion!
“A night Under the Stars” takes place on Saturday, February 28th in the garden of the lovely Elm and Wren, Hurley Street, commencing at 6pm. It will be a pizza night with live music until late, organised by those great ladies Tracey Watson and Carmel Payne, with all proceeds going to Can Assist.
