On Friday, March 20, Belinda Freer of Massage and Beauty Spot (MBS) will wax Paul Miller, Stephen Howse and Craig McTavish.
The wax will take place outside MBS in Parker Street, near Westpac Bank.
The trio are raising funds for Amanda Norman (nee Lawler) who grew up in Cootamundra and today is suffering a severe form of Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Her best chance at an improved quality of life is Stem Cell Therapy treatment in Russia, which comes at a hefty cost of $100,000.
She is not eligible for the same treatment in Australia and without treatment her health will continue to deteriorate.
The men are getting nervous as their big moment looms.
“It’s alright for Howsie who has legs like a woman with no hair but for Craig and I who have legs like a mammoth it’s going to hurt!” Paul said.
The men have a fundraising aim of $10,000 and already have $3000 towards their target.
“The three of us are all working to secure sponsorship - a number of people have chosen to sponsor us per leg, with six legs some people have put up $100 per leg but we’re not expecting that from everyone, every bit helps,” Paul said.
“We understand there are a lot of people in need and appreciate the effort of all the people fundraising in town at the moment,” he added.
To donate, people can either see one of the three men involved or direct deposit into a ‘Future Hope’ bank account, where all funds raised to send Amanda to Russia are being held in trust.
