Road spikes were deployed four times during the chase at Muttama, Wallendbeen, Cootamundra and then, finally, near Bookham, deflating all four tyres down to the rims.
The driver continued travelling at speeds between 10 and 60 kilometres per hour until police forcibly removed him from the Mitsubishi Lancer at 4.04am.
Police pursued the car as the motorist drove along Gundagai Road turned at Parker Street, Cootamundra, along the Olympic Highway to Wallendbeen, turned back to Cootamundra to avoid spikes, headed to Coolac and then north on the Hume Highway until he was finally stopped.
Three people from Macquarie Fields were in the vehicle at the start of the chase, with two to appear in Goulburn Local Court today.
The female was dropped off at Cootamundra Railway Station during the pursuit where she was arrested.
The female remains in custody at Cootamundra Police Station.
Cootamundra Local Area Command Senior Constable Mick Wood said police are disappointed with the behaviour of the motorist.
“What he’s done is very dangerous, we were just lucky there were no other vehicles on the road at the time,” he said.
