The current plan is for a combined Ex Service’s report to appear in Wednesday’s paper, and a combined Country Club report in Friday’s paper.
Nothing is set in stone and we would love to hear your feedback.
Our thanks to the contributors and readers for your patience and understanding.
The following is the Ex Service’s Women’s Bowls Club notes.
***
Last Saturday our Pennant side travelled to Grenfell for their scheduled game. It was a close game with only five points separating the sides. Grenfell took four points and our girls won one.
Saturday evening at home six players enjoyed a game of triples. George Jeffery and Colleen Goode skipped by Bob King played Liz Barrett, Vera Jeffery and Jeff Manwaring with Bob's team winning.
Wednesday evening another Pennants game was played between Harden/Stockinbingal and our club ladies. A very good, close game with Jan's team having a drawn game against Jenny Ricketts. Meanwhile the team skipped by Wendy Deacon had a win over Robin App's team. Thanks to our umpire Greg Fisher.
On another rink we has six social players enjoying a mixed game. Emily Cosgrove and Vera Jeffery skipped by Mario Debaricks played Margaret Morrison and George Jeffery with Bill Cosgrove as skip. While Bill's team won on the night it was a very close game with only one point the difference.
