Round Four of the current Pennant season was conducted on Sunday, with Cootamundra Country Club No 3s losing on all rinks against Young No 2s, whilst our No 6s recorded another win by downing Harden.

At home, our best performed team was led by Graham Davidson who lost to Niel Hines 15-17.
Graham’s team lead narrowly at 7-4 after six ends, but they lost the next seven ends to fall behind at 7-14 and couldn’t bridge that margin.
Ron Rosengreen’s team were well off the pace in ends won at 8-13 but were never out of the match, the final socre 20-17 to Graham Edgerton.
On Rink 3, Don Manwaring were just one behind at 8-9 after 13 ends, but Geoff Holt’s team had the better of remaining ends taking the win at 19-11.
At Harden, Eric Thorburn's team were on fire early, leading John Curtis 15-0 after just eight ends, and despite a better showing by the home side, took out the contest 24-17.
A good start also set up victory for Bill Ledger’s team over Barney Heywood, the score 16-6 to Coota after 11 ends before it finished 24-15 to Bill.
Graeme Worboy’s team had their colours lowered for the first time so far, with the early ends crucial for the home team skippered by Mark Parker, the score at games end 24-13 to Harden.
Four social games on Friday, with Dave Baetup and Ken Johnson best with plus 12; plus 1 to John Malone, Ian Saunders and Charlie Willis; the same margin for Roy Cleveland, Jack LeLievre and Garry Cassidy; whilst the other game finished all square at 19-19.
Start of play on Tuesday was put back to 1pm and when a brief afternoon shower halted play, Arty Ward, Graham Bushell and Bob Gay were best with a margin of 12 shots.
