The soccer club has worked that little bit harder to publicise the event this year after disappointing numbers through the gates last year, appealing to a broader market, and club spokeswoman Annette Parkinson said ticket sales prove that smart marketing pays off.
Cootamundra mayor Jim Slattery wishes the club “all the best” for the final local B and S Ball.
“They’ve done a lot for the community, they’ve put a lot of money back into the town through this fundraiser,” Cr Slattery said.
Mrs Parkinson said the club is equally as grateful to the local community for supporting the event.
“It built us our home ground at O’Connor Park, so we’d like to thank the locals who have helped run the event and come along to the event.
“We make a bit of noise so we’d also like to thank the people who live around the showground for their patience over the years,” she said.
