It is with sadness that I make mention of the passing of one of Cootamundra’s best, Allan Crowe. Allan passed away in the Cootamundra Hospital last Saturday and many stories can be told of his contribution to our community.

Allan’s days at the helm of his barber shop in Wallendoon where he was affectionately known as Crowie to all and sundry who came through the door. To quote a local “he was a legend”.
Today we will celebrate Allan’s life as we say farewell and the community’s thoughts and prayers are with Ruth and family.
Ag world’s loss
The agricultural industry is mourning the sad loss of Mr John Manwaring who passed away on May 14. John has represented NSW Farmers Federation on the Wool Council of Australia, and was the director of the Wool Producers Association.
John was the son of the late Athol and Betty Manwaring of “Rosehill’ Jugiong.
Sympathy is extended to John’s wife Susan and daughter Sarah at this sad time.
Accolades Tom and Jill
Tom and Jill Dodwell hosted a Biggest Morning Tea recently. Jill was the recipient of an Australia Day Award for all she does in our community.
