Well over 100 people attended, some travelling from as far as Frampton, Dirnaseer and Young.
The singing and dancing Paul Gasper, accompanied on piano by the virtuosic Paul Myatt, played seven characters, changing costumes and vocal pitch with apparent ease.
The Arts Centre’s pop-up theatre restaurant Dave’s Diner, brilliantly designed by Denyce Smith, served up 1950s fare including cheeseburgers and banana splits created by The Arts Centre catering officer David Taylor.
Spiders and ice-cream sodas were added to the usual assortment of drinks available at the bar.
The waiting staff was made up of Cootamundra High School Year 11 hospitality students.
By waiting on tables for The Arts Centre, not only do the students experience volunteering, they accrue hours toward the course’s practical requirements.
As always, the overwhelming success of these shows is dependent on the hard work of many volunteers who work behind the scenes, but also on the patrons, Cootamundra community members and friends who come along to support them and to have a really good time.
There’s already talk of The 2Pauls bringing their version of “The Rocky Horror Show” to Cootamundra some time in 2016.
