While they arrived to fog on Saturday, the weather lifted and players and visitors enjoyed a top atmosphere from the neighbouring club.
While polocrosse is all about having fun, the Jugiong Club was not certainly taking their action on the field seriously.
Their skill and tenacity led to them being named A Grade winners against Lake George on Sunday.
After a standout effort, Jugiong’s Dean Bourlet was named ‘Best and Fairest’ in this game.
The Jugiong club also took out the A Mixed titles, winners against the skill set, and in A Reserve they were runners-up against Yass.
All in all a great weekend for the club as they get set to host a series of events at their own grounds over the coming weeks.
On Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12 the club will host the Jugiong Polocrosse Carnival.
Meanwhile, the following weekend, July 18, they will get to showcase their grounds and skills to some of the best polocrosse players from the region in the Zone Polocrosse Carnival.
Not only do these weekends give the Jugiong Polocrosse Club a home turf advantage over their rivals, they are a good opportunity to showcase the village to visitors.
