Seconds finished the day with the scoreboard reading 24-19.
It was a different story for first grade going down 68-10.
The game had been played in Junee as the Junee side have been acting as a third grade for the Cootamundra Rugby Club this year, assisting with numbers.
After this weekend, the Southern Inland Rugby competition will split leaving Cootamundra in the bottom half of the competition.
From here, however anything is possible and with plenty of heart and dedication to training the Cootamundra Tricolours are hoping they will be able to make some inroads into the competition.
This weekend, the Tricolours are scheduled to play Griffith/Hay in Hay.
