The event is hosted by the Anglican Parish of Christ Church in Cootamundra and has become a much-loved tradition in our town.
Since 1936, when former rector’s wife, Mrs Ina Done, suggested a gathering fostering fellowship, community, church, family and friends, the community has faithfully continued her tradition in the form of the Daffodil Tea.
After nearly 80 years, those same ideals continue today: Fellowship, community, church, family and friends at the Daffodil Tea.
The Daffodil Tea, in springtime, is now celebrated during Wattle Time.
Entry to see all the stalls is free and open to everyone.
Patrons are welcome to attend anytime after 11am to view the stalls and purchase daffodils.
There will be lots of home cooking at the cake stall, potted plants and produce and a wide variety of crafts all for sale.
The special display this year is tea pots.
For people who choose to stay on for the available light lunch and entertainment, the cost is $12.
