Last Thursday 23 police officers and two civilians were awarded medals and commendations for their service at the annual Cootamundra LAC Awards Ceremony.
Inspector Frank Brown, detective inspector Paul Huxtable and leading senior constable Paul Kemp each received a National Medal for at least 15 years of diligent and ethical service.
Senior constable Scott Sanders was awarded a Commanders Commendation for professionalism and dedication to duty in the peaceful apprehension of an armed offender in Harden this year.
Several officers and a civilian in Tumut were also awarded Commanders Commendations for their role rescuing a woman from a violent domestic situation involving a firearm.
