A cheque of $1060 was presented to the Coota Can Assist at its last meeting on Monday, September 21.
To reach a total of $15,000 from the four volumes Clarrie needs to sell another 280 books.
Volumes Two, Three and Four can be purchased from Clarrie for a special price of $20 (makes a good Christmas gift).
All money from book sales are donated to Coota Can Assist.
TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT
COOTA Public School is holding a trivia night tonight in the school assembly hall.

BIG WEEKEND
YET another BIG weekend in town with the hospital reunion taking place, bringing over 200 people to town, some travelling from interstate and overseas to play a part in this special event.
Tomorrow night the committee will host a dinner in the auditorium of the Ex-Services Club with 280 guests expected.
Sunday morning all will gather at Elm & Wren, Hurley Street, to continue reminiscing.
INTERESTING HAPPENINGS
TERM 4 has begun for the U3A Group with interesting happenings on the agenda.
This morning in the Stephen Ward Rooms at 10am that old time movie On the Waterfront will be screened.
Then this afternoon at 2.30pm renowned artist Professor Jessica Priebe, from Sydney University, will be speaking.
For anyone interested in art this is a not to be missed event.

ROCK & ROLL TIME
THE Tuesday afternoon dance group is TONIGHT holding a rock n roll theme night in Dickson Hall, commencing at 7.30pm.
All are most welcome to come along - during the evening they will be celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of popular couple Adrian and Mary Hesse.
And the rock n roll theme will continue when the dancers take their talent to the nursing home on Tuesday afternoon next to delight residents.
