Lovely lady Lynn Fisher, who organised this escapade, had to gather the group whose ages ranged from 63 to a young 84, onto the XPT.
For some it was a first time train travel, for others it bought back glorious old memories.
Their city accommodation was perfect allowing for them to walk to Paddy’s Market, then great excitement as they walked to the Capitol Theatre to see the stage show Cats.
After the show it was off to Darling Harbour for shopping and dinner.
The trip was voted a splendid success by all who attended.
THE yeah for the day goes to local lady Naomi Ismay who, when in attendance at the Wagga Cinema last week with other friends from Cootamundra, came to the aid of a local girl who was having an epileptic fit.
The young girl’s friends were distressed and Naomi, who has a son who suffers epilepsy, was able to calm them down, at the same time handle the situation professionally until the ambulance arrived.
A BIG WELL DONE TO NAOMI.
A DAY late BUT happy birthday to a special Coota girl Roslyn Hulm who yesterday celebrated her birthday. We can be sure that the staff at Woolworths made her day grand.
COME February next prepare to see the best of music greats Mark Johnson and Sarah Whitteron.
With Mark on grand piano and Sarah singing, this concert promises to be their best.
THE Chris Edwards School of Dance end of year concert takes place at the Arts Centre on Sunday next at 10am and 1pm, Monday 6pm and again 6pm next Tuesday.
I was in attendance at the very busy rehearsals on Saturday last and delighted in watching some first-class dance performances by Miss Chris’ students.
It is certainly a not to be missed end of year event!
