Winners, announced at Breakfast in the Park in Jubilee Park include:
Citizen of the Year
A couple nomination this year saw the award go to Doug and Kate Lonergan, who together and individually volunteer their time for the Community Soup Kitchen, Bulldogs, Retirement Village Auxiliary, Riding for the Disabled and more
Young Citizen of the Year
Ashliegh Heritage, who was behind the recent successful Hay Run to farmers in drought.
Sportsperson of the Year
Lachlan and Mitchell Deep, twin brothers who have gone from strength to strength on the golf course. Not just talented sportspeople but good kids who do Cootamundra proud wherever they go.
Commitment to Community
Beverley Chalmers, coach and manager for the local Riding for the Disabled branch. Bev has dedicated 35 years to this organisation.
Commitment to Community
Jennifer Cash, who offers her time so willingly to Wrapped with Love, the Garden Club and Cootamundra Nursing Home Auxiliary, among other things.
