Great weather and certainly green everywhere.
The scores were representative of the conditions with 31 players bettering their handicap.
The leading score was 28 points from John (the builder) Liensch who pipped Kevin Sutcliffe on 26.
Paul Field, Scott Bridge and Ryan Moore were equal on 24.
Alex Baldry, Margot Lyne and Jacki Caldwell having goods rounds of 23.
Simon Liensch couldn’t match his Dad but scored a creditable 22 from his low handicap.
Brian O’Malley matched this score.
On 21 were Jane Storey, Matt Perry and Ricky Evans.
Nine players were on 20 and there were seven on 19.
The ball comp went down to 17 on a countback.
Once again there were over 90 rounds of golf.
The teams’ event was taken out this week by Slowbacs with 88 followed by Penguins on 86 and Sea Eagles close behind on 85.
Speering Constructions appears in the top 6 again with 82.
Pooh Corner and Veterans were the remaining teams who topped 80.
The teams’ ladder now has joint leaders in Slowbacs and Speering Constructions with 57.
The top of the ladder is getting crowded as Penguins (56), Sea Eagles (55) and Trappers (50) all are a win away from the lead. Veterans (46),
Independent Kitchens (37) Housos (35) and Pooh Corner on 33 are two wins away.
With only three weeks left there will need to be some serious team golf played to be in the final contention.
Chesh’s Golf Shop is where you can collect your golf balls from the ball comp.
The clubhouse is where you call in and enjoy yourself after the game.
