We have played seven matches with a win /loss of 2/5.
The run home sees us with a harder draw, eight matches.
Six are away and only two bat home.
The next two matches are away, Saturday we travel to Rockley, a new suburb in Queanbeyan to play the Googong Hogs.
The following Saturday we travel to RMC to play ADFA/RMC Rams.
****
LAST Saturday’s match against ADFA/RMC was a close tussle with the visitors always having their noses in front.
The Blues took the lead in the seventh minute mark of the third quarter, but this was short-lived as the visitors grabbed the lead back.
Normally if you kick 12-3, you would win the match!
****
WHILE the Blues had many good players on Saturday, none played better than six time best and fairest winner Stephen Chant.
The champion footballer who is in his 11th season with the Blues chalked up nearly 30 possessions in a dominant display.
A seventh B&F is not beyond Chanty.

A GROIN injury to Dylan McDermott will see him miss the next two matches.
Dylan said last week he would rather have an extended break and come back when the groin is right.
****
WHEN the season started a couple of our youngsters like Joel Annetts, Adam Johnston, and Blake Basham were expected to play a handful of matches.
However, injuries and unavailability of our senior players will see Joel, Adam, and Blake nearly play half of the matches.
All three boys have acquitted themselves well and have gained valuable experience.

Our next home match is against the Goulburn Swans on Saturday 18 June.
The highlight of the day will be Liam Frilay’s 100th match for the Blues.
The nuggetty back pocket player debuted as a 16 year old in 2009.
Obviously, a career highlight for Liam was playing in the Blues premiership side in 2014.
****
SPEAKING of Goulburn, they like the Blues are up a grade; however, they find themselves in unfamiliar territory of being at the bottom of the ladder after the Googong Hogs belted them by 67 points on Sunday.
The other surprise on Saturday was Ainslie’s first defeat of the season at the hands of Molonglo by a whopping 71 points.
