All sporting grounds in Cootamundra have been closed by council until further notice. Continued rain and heavy use has damaged many of the grounds around town.

Nicholson Park is the worst affected, the vast majority of the field is mud with very little grass left.
Only the Strikers and the Tricolours are scheduled to play at home this weekend so many of the grounds will have some time to recover.
Council will assess the grounds during the week.
